METROPOLIS – State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) and State Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) are joining with the Massac County Drug Awareness Coalition and the Metropolis Police Department to hold a Prescription Drug Drop Off Day.

It will be held Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Metropolis Police Department on Broadway Street.

Residents may drop off unused, expired, or unneeded medications, patches, vitamins and pet medicines.

Restricted items include hypodermic needles and illegal drugs. The service is free of charge.
