COBDEN – One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Union County.

According to Illinois State Police, a 2016 Hyundai drove off Illinois 127 near Mountain Glen Road in the Cobden area and struck a tree around 11:40 a.m.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name was not released. 

ISP says there is no further information at this time.
