MARION – Williamson County Clerk Amanda Barnes says permanent vote by mail applications are being mailed to all registered voters as mandated under Illinois election code. If you have previously signed up for a permanent vote by mail application or opted out, you will not receive the application.

Barnes says as your local election authority, her office is mandated by the state to notify you of this new option to request placement on their permanent vote by mail list or to opt out with option 3 on the application if you prefer not to be included in this mailing in the future.

Your application must be submitted by one of the following methods:

  • Mail or in-person delivery to the Williamson County Clerk & Recorder at 407 N Monroe St, Suite 119, Marion, IL  62959

Choosing to “Vote by Mail” or choosing to be placed on our “Permanent Vote by Mail List” are simply options offered to you.  The normal polling places will be open for the 2024 General Election and for future elections. If you would like to cast your ballot in person at your local polling location, or prefer early voting in the Williamson County Clerk’s Office, those options will still be available to you.

You can call the Williamson County Clerk’s Office at 618-998-2112 for more information.
