MT. VERNON – Officials with Mt. Vernon’s Fall Fest say due to wind gusts exceeding 30 mph in addition to heavy rain today, they have decided to cancel the Monken Toyota Vendors Marketplace, the United Way Midway, Kids Zone and the Monken Toyota Cruise In for today only.

Events scheduled for Saturday will go on except for a one-hour delay in opening the Monken Toyota Vendor Marketplace and the Kids Zone.

The free live music from the SSM Health Good Samaritan Stage will be moved to The Granada Theatre today. An announcement regarding the start times for Southern Grit and HunterGirl will be made soon.
