CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police responded to the 1200 block of West Main Wednesday night after a car struck a pedestrian in the roadway.

Police found the victim in the roadway with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment. The driver was not hurt and cooperated with the investigation.

The investigation revealed that the pedestrian entered the roadway into traffic outside of a designated crosswalk area.

No charges have been filed at this time.
