MCLEANSBORO – Paul Eugene Becker, 92, of McLeansboro passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Paul was born March 23, 1932, in McLeansboro. He was a son of Tony Eldo Becker and Helen Madeline (Gidcumb) Becker. On August 18, 1951, Paul and Betty Gayle Clark were married at the home of pastor Leo Walton. They shared 73 years of marriage.

He was a farmer (farming was his life) and a member of the American Legion. Paul was in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; and a son, Troy Eugene Becker and wife, Pauline, of McLeansboro. Also surviving is a grandson, Thomas Becker and wife, Kaitlyn Kern, of Carbondale; a brother, William Becker and wife, Phyllis, of Norris City; a sister, JoAnn Price of Enfield; and a sister-in-law, Mae Becker of Springerton.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles; and a sister, Ladonna Pauline Ingram.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with the funeral service following the visitation. Pastor Larry Woodrow will officiate the service. 

Burial will follow in the Springer Cemetery near McLeansboro.
