ST. LOUIS – Two Williamson County residents have been charged with stealing several thousands of dollars from a man’s hotel room last August in the St. Louis area.
According to documents we obtained from the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office, Kristian J. Sanders and Reanna M. Gallamore, both of Marion, were recently charged with stealing over $25,000. They have been summoned to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Clayton Police say officers went to the Ritz Carlton at Carondelet Plaza and learned that the victim’s room had been ransacked and that $315,000 in cash had been stolen from a suitcase that had been cut open and a box.
Police say the victim had dinner earlier with Gallamore at the hotel and gave her a key to the room. She left him several times saying she was sick and left shortly after arriving at a casino.
Surveillance footage showed a black man carrying a red backpack with white stars on it entering the hotel. Shortly after they entered the hotel elevator, the key given to Gallamore was used to access the victim’s room. This happened shortly after the victim and Gallamore left the hotel to go to the casino.
Police say Gallamore used $13,000 of the stolen money to put a down payment on a 2022 black Chevy Trailblazer and Sanders used $24,000 in cash to buy a Dodge Charger. Police searched their home and found over $95,000 in cash along with receipts for items they bought after the money was stolen. A backpack matching the one the black man was seen carrying on the surveillance footage was also found.
Gallamore admitted giving Sanders a key to steal from the victim’s room. She also admitted to using the stolen cash to buy multiple items and using it as a down payment on the vehicle she bought.
