MARION – HGTV’s Lakefront Bargain Hunt Renovation is coming to southern Illinois.

According to the HGTV website, this lakefront lifestyle series explores what happens after families purchase their lakeside vacation home and shows how they turn them into their ideal family getaway.

Jason Powell from Heartland Realty in Marion is going to be a part of the program that will be shooting episodes in the Marion and Lake of Egypt area starting later this month.

Shooting is expected to go until the end of August.

Now depending on production times, Powell says episodes should hit the air sometime in late winter or early spring of next year.
